LG links up six monitors via USB

Can I get a show of hands (comments) amongst our readers who use multiple monitors? I usually have one extra monitor hooked up to my MBP, but that doesn’t seem to be enough. I think I need another one. Maybe one of LG’s 20.1-inch widescreen monitors will suffice. The Flatron LX206WU can be linked together via USB for up to six monitors. Can you imagine the work you could get done? The latest from LG has a contrast ratio of 5000:1, 2ms response time, but to everyone’s dismay it seems USB video support is limited to Windows. They retail for roughly $391. I do hope these come our way.

  • two monitors at work
    two at home

only one on my Ubuntu box
    stupid Linux drivers

  • This is cool to see, I use two at home and two at work as well. (H - 20.1 wide x 19 standard & W - 20 wide x 17 standard)

But as stated in another blog post today about a new monitor…doesn’t that price seem kind of high? Sure it’s crazy tech that only needs usb…but it’s still just a monitor

  • two at work
two at home on my ubuntu linux box

    I couldn’t live without it anymore…

  • 2 CRTs at home: 19 and 17 inches
Shared boxes at school, so crappy 17″ high-latency TFTs from four years ago, and only one per box. It’s like going from a hotel suite to a cardboard box…

  • 2 at work (22″ 16:9 and 17″ 16:9) but only 1 at home (15″ 4:3).

  • Hmm got 3 at home. Got two video cards in my PC. A normal ati 9800 SE on agp and an old 4mb PCI grafik card. The only thing i can use on that one are chat windows but that´s enough
