The Guinness Book of World Records has named the Modu mini phone “the lightest mobile phone in the world.” The phone, which we saw at MWC this year, weighs a mere 1.4 ounces and is .3 inches thick. Modu received a $100 million cash infusion last week.
The phone, as you’ll remember, works as a standalone mobile device or fits into different “jackets” that basically take control of the mini core and can act as smartphones, game phones, or music phones. Expect Modu to hit the US late this year or early next.

Does this remind anyone else of the phones in Zoolander?
Um… Earth to Matilda… definitely zoolander-esque.. they probably got the idea from the movie.
That’s funny. That’s the first thing I though of when I read the title.

Bryan - That Zoolander joke has been used up a few times already :) Still, I have to admit it’s always funny!
must EEEVERYTHING have a reflect effect on it now?
yea zoolander kicks ass…
Will they consider trading in my HTC Touch for one of those?
So it is half the weight of the Samsung U100, which is already a featherweight!
It’s almost as thin at 7.6mm compared to the samsung 5.9mm (0.23 inches).
It looks like a bizarre game of solo digital domino.
