I was told recently that Windows Mobile 6.1 would be released very soon, but I wasn’t given an exact date. Screen shots made the rounds in February if you’re keeping track. Pocket-Lint, on the other hand, has it from a source close to the matter that Microsoft will unveil WinMo 6.1 on April 1. Makes sense. We’re still a little unsure about what new features will be in 6.1, but we do know there will be a task manager and copy/paste in IE as well as some new fonts and homescreen.

  • I love the little image on the right of the battery icon — it perfectly exemplifies the “WTF” feeling I get when using Windows Mobile devices.

  • 6.1 is pretty cool, there’s been leaked copies of it out for awhile on xda-developers. I’ve been running a version on my dash and it changes the homescreen to make it non unlike the homescreen the shadow has. Also: threaded text messages
