We know who’s making the next iPhone, and now we know when. Kinda. Bank of America analysts have it on good word that May will see the first building of the 3G version of the iPhone, with a June ship date. This makes sense, it’d be exactly a year after the first iPhones shipped.
No word on pricing or if there would be a “trade-in” upgrade program. Many early adopters will feel burned for not having 3G when the iPhone came out, but to them I say, well, you bought it knowing it didn’t have 3G, don’t whine.

PLEASE !! “Some dude” is Apple themselves, Jobs have continuously stated that there will be a 3G iPhone this year.
Why report on this as if it was news ???????

The “some guy”, if you read the linked article, or the post, is actually an analyst from Bank of America.
Jobs has said that there would be one this year, but won’t say when. Our analyst friend says June, this summer, thus the post.
