The latest incarnation of the enV is quite nice. The enV2’s exterior number pad is rather funky, but functional. The QWERTY keyboard is standard and basically a shrunk down version of the Voyager. It’s a cute phone that will most likely appeal to the ladies.

I was told the enV2 is to come out sometime in May I believe the middle of May. This was told to me by a Verizon employee. Along with a Gleem I think? I’ve been waiting 4 months for the enV2. I was told it would be out by April 2008, this was bacj in dec 2007. So the guy is pretty on point.

I heard it should be out April 30th.
I hope that is true because I have the VX8550 ( Chocolate)
and I am ready for something new like the enV2.
I have already decided this will be my new phone.

It was released last night, but only on an as needed basis…meaning that the store has to run out of the env1 before getting a shipment of the Env2. My Verizon guy told me to check with high volume stores, that they may have shipments faster than a lower volume store.

I called a verizon wireless store today about it being available on an as needed basis and they said that that was not true but that it would be out within the next week to two weeks.

I recently purchased this new env2 and LOOOVVVEEE it. The outside keys are great for easy texting when in a hurry and the large inside display is great. The colors/graphics are much better than the old env, being I used to have the old one. I suggest this for any qwerty keyboard lovers!!!

LG enV2 as a Messenger
This is the primary reason why someone would be interested in the LG enV2 in the first place. While the outward appearance of the closed phone has taken quantum fashion leaps in the right direction, the inside remains largely unchanged. The menu navigation has been cleaned up a little, but it’s still what you’d expect from a Verizon Wireless phone.
