In case anyone is wondering what the exact difference between the older u740 from Verizon and the new Alias is I decided to snap some photos of the two versions. Like I said before, the keyboard buttons are just different colors, but I really dig the new silver finish.

this phone is tiny not the size of a vcr what are you, crazy? and what do you mean by ANOTHER vcr sized phone? they have never had a phone to fit that description!!
I couple of people at my High School have these and quite honestly, they suck. I looked at their prices, and for those prices they could have gotten much nicer phones. The software seemed unnatural to use, and the keyboard was too strange to type accurately and quickly on.
i think that these phones are pretty dang snazzy and the keyboard works just fine. and there so cool to open and close both ways. i bet your phone is just some razr

This phone rocks. =] I loved it when I had it, and I actually wish I had it back. I have the EnV2 now. The Alias is much better.

I got this phone when I upgraded from a Razr (which really started going downhill within 6 months). With the rebate and discount, it was free. I like the design and function, hope it lasts longer than that friggin razr.

I have this phone and it ROCKS!!!! its fast, and it just takes a while to get used to. Just talk to someone who has it. If u don’t have it, then u shouldn’t be commenting on how it is, unless you are commenting on the design or whatever. How would you know that it was hard if u didn’t have it???

You probably have a sucky free phone from t-mobile or something shitty like that! Plus its super small so no one can see it in your pocket (IN SCHOOL) and it is no VCR sized!

Man, I’ve had this phone for about a year and i never txted b4 i got it and now im like one of the fastest in my class, its like so easy to call people and txt. It rocks!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve had this phone for two years now. It’s extremely reliable and always gets good service ANYWHERE (even when visiting in Mexico :D ) My only problem with this phone is that the QWERTY keyboard is to crammed together and makes it slightly difficult to type. After a while, you do get use to it. I recommend this phone to anyone who just wants the basic functions of a phone such as calling and texting. Nothing stands out as for it being the best in music playing or video, because the speakers aren’t that great and the video is very pixelated.
Ok PPP I need some help here. I get a new phone in 2 days and I’ve been thinking thAt I want to get the enV3 but then I started thinking that I want the alias 2….. The reason I can’t decide is that I really like the enV and I’m used to it since I have thee first enV now… But I like the look of the alais 2 but I don’t really like the placing of the buttons on it like how the ok button is in the middle of the top. I’m sure I would get used to it. About the enV though… I read reviews about it that said It randomly shuts off, has bad sound, and doesn’t get very good reception. Soooo…. Can anyone give me some advice as to which phone to get? Or if anyone has either of these 2 phones and can maybe name some pros/cons about them? It would be greatly Appreciated :)
The ok button is also in the bottom right next to the arrow keys and if it’s for a text message, there is also a send button on the bottom left. I have the Alias 2 and really like it. It is such an upgrade from the original Alias, which was a good phone. Plus the keys are really cool, and big. Ummm it has really good sound and good battery life. The only con is tht it doesn’t come standard with any games lol. Hope this helps =) (get the Alias 2)
