National Instruments’ Wiibot

by John Biggs on April 8, 2008

While it’s no Nintendo R.O.B., National Instruments is showing off a robotic arm using its proprietary control system that can accept inputs from almost anything, including the Wiimote. Not much else to say but it is cool to say there is finally a robot add-on to the Wii, even if it can squeeze your eyeballs out of your head.

  • Hey John, this is not related to the article itself but to your Crunchgear videos in general. You see a lot of us read the crunches at the office, and your videos starts with that very LOUD and BAD music that makes it look like we are playing games. Could you please get rid of the intro music.

    Thanks

    • lol or open volume control and turn it down. on xp hit start, accessories, entertainment, and volume control is there. sometimes even on bottom right of the screen as a little speaker. the little animation is there as both advertisement for the site ad as a security measure.

  • My volume control is just perfect the way it is now and I don’t like to change it. I understand why the animation is there, and I am not asking for it to be removed, just the annoying music that comes with it.
