Nokia “Tube” meant to compete with you know what

I’m just as sick of writing about this thing as you are of reading about it, but Nokia doesn’t seem to get that. While they’ve been working hard on the “Tube” (we first heard about it in August) the world has moved on and realized the thing from Apple isn’t hot shit anymore. Really, Nokia, you’re approaching 10 months since we first saw the “Tube” and you have nothing to show for it. Nothing new that is. The ability to upload photos?! Wow. That’s extremely groundbreaking. I can’t wait for this device. I’m happy that it’s your first touch device. You’re only a few years behind on that.
As if everything I just mentioned wasn’t enough. One of Nokia’s VPs, Tom Libretto, opens his mouth and blabs about their ability to ship in volumes greater than that of Apple’s doohickey. He thinks the 5 to 6 million devices shipped by Apple is nothing compared to what they can do.
“We’ve done that [volume] since we’ve had dinner on Friday,” he said.
Dude, that’s because you’re shipping phones to India where there are, like, a trillion people. And your phones cost about 5 cents.
Oh, and one more thing. The “Tube” will support Java.
You’ve been working so hard, Nokia. Go on and take a catnap and I’ll bring you some milk and cookies for your trouble.

even before iPhone I used sony ericsson and dislike stupid Finish (Finland) nokia company!

Still looks better than the iPhone to me. There’s a lot of stuff that the iPhone is missing which Nokia phones have had for many years.
Admittedly there’s stuff the iPhone has that Nokia et al don’t but then they’re not considered basic phone features and aren’t considered missing….

Dude….whoever wrote this article is pretty ignorant…. nokia’s first touchscreen device??? BS the nokia 7710 n800 n810 were all out a shitload b4 the stinking iphone…so all of u can go blow a pole XD…iim not saying the iphone isnt a good device….but its WAY too over-hyped the device nokia is trying to release in an S60 powered touchscreen device….so plz…b4 u write an article and post it online….make sure u know exactly wat ur talking about

Nokia is like Microsoft they simply don’t see what customers want and now they are a copy machine too. My Nokia I used a year ago could only setup ONE email account - groundbreaking - and it took me hours to get it running - nobody could help me. Finaly Google Mail App solved my problem and not Nokia. Now with my iPhone - Nokia is a poor little something. Sorry Nokia, you really made great Products (somewhere in the last century) but we are close the future now and I didn’t see that in your actual products … ehh bricks :)

why is everyone comparing this to the iphone? iphone dosen’t come close to what nokia phones are capable of for yrs now. iphone is not even a fully developed phone, they’re still working bugs out to try n fix the first batch. i wouldn’t be ignorant n say f*** apple, iphone is a nice toy for ppl who want their phone to entertain them. but u can’t compare yrs of experience to what apple has on the table now. like it or not nokia is the best…

My estimate is that the darn thing will outsell iPhone. It would be, as a matter of fact, the only true competitor to Apple as all other touch phones are more or less junk. just my 2c
