First good image of Nokia’s Tube show up on the Nets

nokia tube 01Here we have it, Nokianauts, the first official image of the Nokia Tube. Is that a forward facing camera I see? I hope so!

The Tube, or 5800, is Nokia’s touch-sensitive answer to the iPhone. We’ve been seeing leaked photos for awhile, but now we know that they were right on.

We still don’t know much about the device, but one thing we can tell from this image is that the display is true 16:9, where as the iPhone is not. That’s a point in the Tube’s favor.

I really don’t like calling it the Tube.

It looks Photoshoped.

All I can say is this…..

This is the same thing iRiver and ALL the rest did with the iPod KILLER!!!

NOW THIS IS THE iPHONE KILLER!! OOOOOHHHHHH!!!! WOW!!

NOT!

It feels like Déjà vu….

I MEAN REALLY Come ON!.

It took AAPLE 5 YEARS!!!!! to develop the iPhone….and they WERE AND ARE THE HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS…

GOOD LUCK….. NO…. Kan’t Innovate ANYTHING!!!!

It doesn’t even look photoshopped - looks like something someone put together in MS Paint.

And the name Tube is really awful. I thought that was just a codename or something. Really bad branding.

Might be a great phone though. Despite the rantings of someone who has clearly been “pulling tubes” a lot today, Nokia’s certainly go the design and engineering skills to pull this off. And with a Symbian OS (right?) it may be a really nice alternative to the closed system of Apple.

LOL; that’s the pretty ugly PhotoShop work, I can make more realistic photo with MS paint in lest than 5 minutse.

I am probably the only person on the world that have touched this thing without putting the signature on a NDA contract.

Copy?! LOL

Anyway, Nokia intention is to kill iPhone by the features so don’t blame them because of the UI only, in my personal opinion adding the touch option to S60 platform is the great move and it also important o say that there will not be the code break and 5th edition will be backward compatible!

Speaking about iPhone, well, it was already discussed numerous times and I am not interesting in opening the same discussion again, it is completely pointless, its hard to say something about phone that lacks file manager for example, phone that lacks cut/copy/paste feature or isn’t capable to process crappy MMS format or record video in 3gp format at least, or phone that has BT but can’t send a files over it, will stop it here as I haven’t enough time to count all cons, crap is crap and that’s it.

We all know that iPhone is nothing but the crap, but general public won’t know that and most of them won’t even realize that when they actually buy one.

The iPhone brings nothing new to the market, except multi touch of course, actually, if it brings anything new, its the look, and honestly, slim and sleek design has been seen before, and it will be done again, Prada is nice example and it going to be even better and better equipped phone with more features.

Price, size, weight, height, width, design, brand, OS, who really care, features before all and in terms of features it simply *, it’s a piece of **** with nice screen over it and extremely good marketing behind it. . .

You should read my S60 5th gen related article for more about interface itself:

Apoc’

FYI

The General public does not need a 1″ user manual to work an iPhone…. and iPhone will only get BETTER iPhon is @ rev. 1.0.

DUH!

You are speaking and writing from YOUR frame of reference. MS Windows Mobile, Symbian etc….. NO synergy between hardware and software….resulting in a vast array of apps & features that are hard to get to, hard to use and if you do get to them they are pretty much useless and CLUNKY.

Take a GOOD look @ the mobile web surfing % of users and tell me what you find..What did you find APOC’? Need I say more?

Very OLD School thinking Apoc’. You fail to realize the importance of the OS that IS the iPhone. Do you have ANY clue as to how many apps and “KILLER APPS” will be developed & available for the iPhone?… from file management to games to enterprise apps to customized iPhones for enterprise deployment…..

Mark my words with this new 3G iPhone all others.. like N O KI A I wanna be like Apple will become Creative MP3s…and drown in the iRiver…..

My best example I can give our readers…

ZUNE! the iPod KILLER!!!! GO MSFT!!!! YEAH!!! MSFT is Gona Take iPod OUT!! GO GO MSFT.. RAH RAH SIS BOOM BAH MSFT MSFT BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!! DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS YADA YADA YAH!!! YEAH OK!

Does anyone have sales figures on ZUNE! sales.. THE iPod KILLER.

WHAT a #^$%&% JOKE!!!

iPhone 3G 2008 = iPod 2001 x 10 or maybe even x100.

Apple is 3 years ahead of the others…AND THEY AIN’T SITTIN’ STILL….. Did anybody ever ponder the fact that Blackberry is a proprietary OS… HELLO! Not many seem to bash RIM for wanting to maintain CONTROL over their OS.

As far as price for iPhone… that is what ALL the NAYSAYERS said about the iPod.. its too expensive.. it this… its that.. its this… no this too and oh it does not have THIS!!! OH what about this BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! YADA YADA YADA..

Give me a break!!!!!

iJah420 is sick of the NAYSAYERS!!!!

Good Grief..

iJah420 shakes his head…

LONDON (MarketWatch) — Details of Nokia Corp.’s upcoming riposte to Apple Inc.’s iPhone are beginning to emerge, but analysts cautioned that while the touch-screen gadget is bound to look snazzy, its operating system could disappoint.

Richard Windsor, of Nomura International, said that when he tested the latest version of the S60 operating system, understood to be the software the Nokia touch phone will run on, he was “deeply unimpressed.”

He warned that unless there is a “meaningful improvement” to the user experience before the phone is launched, it could fail to catch
on and become profitable.

“While the device looks great, we think that the software that runs it could easily end up being a massive disappointment,” he said.

@iJah420,

Well yes, from that point of view I agree, if you take a look at iPhone as on internet tablet than it is clear winner, mainly due the great high resolution screen but from the futures stand point it sucks competently, you can’t make it better than it is, make a simple table, compare with N95 for example, feature by feature and you’ll see how it looks like, actually it is shame even to compare with powerful smart beast like N95 is!!!!

You can say that iPhone is better than the Nokia N95 only if there is no synergy between your brain and muth!

The good: The Nokia N95 cell phone boasts a 5-megapixel camera that produces good-quality photos and videos. It comes with advanced multimedia capabilities and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Symbian smart phone also features integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and an innovative two-way slider design.

The bad: The N95 lacks support for U.S. 3G networks; standby battery life is poor; and performance is somewhat sluggish. The hardware feels a bit cheap, and the sliding mechanism could be more secure. It’s also very expensive.

The bottom line: With a 5-megapixel camera, advanced multimedia capabilities, and GPS, there’s no doubt that the Nokia N95 is one of the most feature-packed smart phones to date, but poor battery life and sluggish performance make it hard to justify the high price tag.

Just a little update, there is the dedicated US model with support for North American 3G frequencies and better battery and 8GB flash memory.

I will leave a short simple phrase, what’s keeping me from changing my NOKIA 6630 , is it’s 3G and bluetooth and simplicity.
