This has come up a few times in the past couple days with folks trying to install pwned and failing. What happens is that the firmware doesn’t flash correctly and you have an iPhone or Touch caught in a horrible boot cycle that consistently fails. Sometimes it draws junk on the screen, which is basically the kernel trying to start and then failing and retrying. These instructions are very simple but you have to be patient.
1. Hold down power AND home (the round button) until the phone turns off completely. Touch nothing else. Keep holding those buttons.
2. Once you’re in a reboot cycle, let go of power. Hold home down for two minutes.
3. Your iPhone/Touch may freeze with a blank screen. Do not panic or call your lawyer. Connect it to your Mac or PC and see if iTunes detects it in restore mode. Restore to the previous good firmware.
4. If this fails, disconnect from iTunes and repeat these steps. Do not lose patience. Sometimes it doesn’t work the first time. Sometimes it take a few turns to get it.
This just totally put me off trying 2.0 on my iPhone once I can get winPWN.

Well, my iphone’s boot problem wasn’t from “pwned”, but the symptoms were the same…unfortunately my computer wouldn’t see the phone and this was keeping me from even trying to fix it. This was 10 minutes ago.
I followed the steps above an was able to get it into recovery mode and now it’s good as new besides the loss of my data, though I didn’t really have any on it anyways.

hey found cure coonect iphone hold the power and home botten together for 15 secs let go. turn it on leave it in itunes for like 10 mins it finds it
and 1 more tip if u pawn iphone DO NOT USE MOBLIE FINDER ULESS U KNOW WHAT U DOING

Here is how you get your iphone out of the reboot loop.
1. Hold down home and power until the phone completely shuts down.
2. with itunes running on your computer, hold down the home button and plug your phone into your computer.
3. let go of home.
4. itunes will recognize your phone and take you through the restore process.
