China says no to iPhone, states “Oh, we already have plenty of fake ones”

Apple and China Mobile have stopped discussing launching the iPhone in China this year. • In the US, it was easy to get a last place phone company to agree to hand over a percentage of revenue in exchange for exclusive rights to a phone everyone would want and increased market share. China Mobile feels no such pressure and unlocked and knock off iphones are everywhere. Apple will need to either change their business model for China or go with a much lower ranked service provider.
