Those of you clinging onto Windows XP who’ve been waiting for SP3 to bolster your OS are in luck, as according to Zdnet Microsoft has released the update to manufacturers today.
This means that it’s done and ready to go to the system updater, which we hear will be around the 29th, or a week from tomorrow. This service pack update will work on any version of XP Pro.
The service pack includes SP1, SP2, and almost all other updates to the OS and is to be considered by anyone who wants to improve the performance of their PC.

I’m totally going to try that serial. But I have a hunch it won’t work…
And WTH aren’t we getting this thing today or tomorrow if it’s already shipping to manufacturers?
