Doug,

Thank you for your post about MP3tunes. We consider this fight to be very important -- for all tech-savvy music and media lovers. The Locker is a secure place to store your personal digital music files online and does not allow sharing between Lockers.

To address Drewster's comment above, Sideload.com is simply an index of music files made publicly available on the internet -- it is a user-populated subset of files available via Google or Yahoo. MP3tunes does not host the files nor does it determine which tracks appear there....and it has a robust TakeDown Policy, as required by the DMCA.

Again, I thank you for giving attention to this matter. If we don't stand up for our rights, they will start eroding, one by one.

Best regards,

~Emily Richards
President, MP3tunes.com

Doug, have done the first (from inception) because that reinforces my role as a user who stores... and plays my own files wherever I can, without carrying anything except a password. Satisfies all copyright acts I've read.

Will now undertake the second.

Hmm, methinks the EMI issue is more about Sideloading, as it is capable of being argued that it could be exploited by those who are into 'sharing'.
