This isn't about being Apple fanatics, it is about a company making empty promises. Psystar won't put cheap Macs in the hands of the people for long if at all due to the obvious violations of the EULA which says that you will not install the software on anything other than Apple hardware. You don't buy the software, you buy the privilege of using it on Apples' terms. Maybe it is a language barrier. This isn’t about being Apple fanatics, it is about a company making empty promises. This guys (Psystar) will help bring Apples prices down, so why that is not a good thing???? I have read on many blogs that Mac users act like total "fanatics"....you guys seem to be perfect example. The author of this article....is he getting paid by Apple. How do you get to write, there is nothing independent or neutral about this article! All the companies are in business to make money, but Apple doesn't just want to make money...they want to make killing of their customers. Take taking heart out of own customers! Here is example....they charge for Mac Pro $3,699.00....that is the price from the advertisement on the right side of this post! The price is from this same site! I can, (anyone can) assemble eight core computer that runs Leopard with better/ faster hardware for 1200 to 1500 $. Go to the New Egg and check latest prices! Buying from Apple is like "bending over" and getting only half of the money that you agree on! Please stop letting Apple to brainwash you and act more like consumer that puts its feeling a side and uses brain on your next purchase! Thank you! What is wrong with you people??? A video proves only that someone was able to get various hacked operating systems to run on the machinery Psystar says it will use. That doesn't mean Psystar actually has truly functional software or that the items depicted in the video will actually ship. (If anything does.) In fact, according to a major tech site reports Psystar is telling its marks that they should never try to run OS X on a Psystar product. Instead, they are to ship their hard drives back to Psystar to have the hacked OS reinstalled whenever something goes wrong. Nor has it been proven Psystar has a manufacturing facility. A picture of a logo on a building's door does not prove much beyond someone has permission to place it there. Psystar could be temporarily borrowing or sub-letting space in the building, and that space could be quite small. The test to obtain a TRO is that irreparable injury is about to occur. Apple would be premature in acting to protect its copyright and intellectual property because so far all Psystar has produced is silly talk. What this episode reveals is how few people in the tech blogosphere have any real journalistic skills. The person who wrote this entry is very easily mislead.
