Just a clarification on that photo that shows a glossy black iPhone. While the original rumor suggested that the new iPhone will indeed have a glossy black finish, the photo in question more than likely is just a case.
So while the next iPhone may well have a glossy black finish, that particular image ain’t it. Happy trails.

ok crunch gear help me out, can anyone help me find said case? I find it extremely sexy and was disapointed to find out that was not the real 2g iphone. I might just go ahead and get that case. That is if anybody can help me find it.
It’s amazing to me that people didn’t already know this, in the original Engadget story they sourced the image and the story differently. Plus, I’ve already seen this 3rd party case about 5 or 6 times by now. I figured that Engadget just looked for a 3rd party case that sounded like the description and threw the picture in the post.
I think we also already went over questioning whether or not this image that Engadget used was the 3G iPhone, the question was answered incredibly quickly but it amazes me how people forget things that happen 3 months ago.
