Which config did you order?
The basic one but with OS X preinstalled
When they warn not to load future Mac OSx updates, I’m just a bit hesitant. While the initial price may be low, it looks like the first OS update could lay this machine flat on its back.
Two possible resolutions could make themselves available, I’m guessing. 1. Psytar or similar will re-engineer the patch so it can be applied to the installs. Or 2. Apple will wake up and start engineering the patches to cover more hardware (although I doubt it will).
Unless there are significant conflict issues with new software that require the updates then one could hum along just fine without them for quite some time. “Critical Update” is a debatable state of being. :)
You spent money on an unsupported hack? Good luck with that.
i’m running a hackintosh with a vanilla kernel (unmodified kernel), EFI emulation, and its fully updatable. with a little searching you can do the same. search osx86 and insanelymac.
