BlackBerry Kickstart: RIM’s first clamshell

BlackBerryKickstart
The rumors are true, RIM does have a clamshell BlackBerry and it’s said to be coming soon. Most likely by the end of the year. The Kickstart as it’s being dubbed at the moment has a SureType keyboard, external LCD and has the same trackball we’ve all come to love or loathe. I don’t know about this one. I’m not that big a fan of clamshells, but it is a BlackBerry.

I’ve owned a few clamshell phones over the years and absolutely loath them. That extra second it takes to open them bugs the hell out of me for some reason. I have to say though that this is one of the sleakest I have ever seen. If its affordable to the average person I can see it becoming extremely popular, in the way the razr was.

its not going to be as successful as the pearl because it is SOOOO UGLYY. Honestly, blackberry devices are very iconic and they have a very nice sophisticated-esque to them and this device is just horrendously UGLY to be popular among any age group. As a teenager, i’d rather use the pearl or a curve over this device ANYDAY

I like clam shells- they fit in my pocket nicely. For a woman with a pocket book, non-flip may be the best choice.
