Meet the FC Mobile, a really interesting looking cloned NES console that’s perfectly portable. But unlike most NES clones, this one takes old school NES cartridges, so you can dust off the ones in the back of your closet, blow into the slot, and play Zelda just like you used to.
We haven’t tried one out ourselves, but it’s really hard to muck up a decent emulator. My main concern would be the battery life — it probably takes AAs — and screen brightness.
Do you have one? Seen one? You can get them on eBay for a little under $60 shipped, it seems. I might have to partake.
I love the thing, the screen brightness is not unlike the original GBA, the battery life can be about 8 hours total, a little less if you play it strait through (like me >:)…), the tv out is a great addition when your at home and want to chill(or blaze) on the big screen (do not use on projection or plasma…bad, bad, bad !!! On ebay, you can find it at many of the ebay stores for only $30+avg $10 s&h, avg games are about $2-$5 +$3.50 media mail delivery, it is very well worth it, over all It is a five star for me !!!, now I just wish the guy who made the portable SNES would put that into production !!! :(
