Here is our full unboxing and benchmarking of the Psystar OpenPC that just arrived today. For about $550 you get a fully working Leopard Desktop, albeit without System Update right now, without having to visit the Apple Store. How long can this paradise last? I don’t know, but it works and is actually fairly fast. Here’s our long unboxing and bencmarking using GeekBench.

“Crunchgear Headquarters…”
I couldnt even concentrate on the unboxing for all the crap thrown everywhere. Good lord men, hire a maid or something.

Sorry, OCD Boy. We’ll get right on it.

We’re having similar issues in CrunchGear’s Boston Headquarters, although we just picked up a trash can and some plastic bags, so things are looking up.

Mebbe its just me, but I’m having problems playing the video. The play dot-thingey doesn’t ever move past the starting position. And if I drag it into somewhere in the middle then it just zips to somewhere near the beginning of the video. pics:

Those Psystars are actually pretty cool, but I would still rather make my own and put OS X on it, like my current desktop does :D. Runs nicely, except my video card doesn’t work properly (ATI HD2600PRO 512MB). It works but i’m just not getting any hardware acceleration on it.
