We’ve talked much the last two weeks about going green and electric cars, and now Bentley is getting in on the act with this tiny-yet-awesome Continental DC electric concept car.

Though it’s not planned for production, the 256-pound Bentley works quite well for what it is, and can reach a top speed of 40MPH.

The fact that a company like Bentley is jumping into the electric car field is exciting, and the fact that they’re doing it while making it look good is awesome.

Wow! The first electric suicide machine on wheels!!!

Its about time the horribly unsafe auto market started caring about environment.

It looks like someone stuck a battery, four wheels, and hot blonde chick in a bar of soap.

It is tiny. I mean. How do we know that the motion blur in the picture above is even caused by the “electric motor” and not just from a push?

How is this new? They used to sell an electric car just like this at The Children’s Palace back in the 80’s. They also had one that looked like a mini police car and another one just like a mini monster truck! So now, just because we are killing the earth, we are calling toys by a new name: concept cars? I mean Little Big Foot was an electric car. How ahead of their time were those things? Curse my parents for forcing me to stick with the big wheel!

That is f****** stupid.

The shot of the driver is not from the front since her face is covered in bugs and muck since there is no windscreen on this death machine. I did not know that go carts were “green” - I guess you learn something new everyday after all.

You’re really not that clueless about this “car” are you?

It was built for this event. It placed 22nd, just ahead of a girls school.
