Zune gets clocked

clocky
(updated with a link to the freaking program)
So with the XNA Game Studio released as part of Zune’s 2.5 update, what do you think is the first big release? A port of Doom, perhaps? An Atari emulator? Hello world? No.

It’s a clock.

Silencing the complaints of trillions of Zunatics worldwide, the new application zClock does what the Zune development team could not — or would not — do: tell time. Celebrate, people!

I have a watch and a cellphone already. Why were people dying for this? Its nice but come on. Like there just aren’t enough clocks around?

dude, if you had a zune you’d die for it too. well, not literally. But lately I’ve been wanting a clock on my zune as well. Sure I’m at a computer all day, I have a phone, and if I’m in my car, it’s got a clock too….but I never look at them when I’m listening to music on my zune. If I’m already holding the device and scrolling through music and I’m like ‘hey what time is it?’ BAM - thanks Zune clock!

Thanks. Now what would be REAL cool is if MICROSOFT implemented this into the UI so you didn’t have to go scrolling through different screens to check the time, instead it’d always be visible…
