I love all the cracks on the iPhone.

The new iPhone 3G is just as good as the Bold, and if the reported prices are right, it will also be CHEAPER.

Oh, and with the SDK being public now, the applications that will be available for the phone, with that awesome screen, will be phenomenal.

I mean, the ONLY thing the Bold can do that the iPhone 3G can't do is shoot videos.

Well, I have a very expensive digital cam corder for that, so why do I need a phone for it.

i'm one of 10 people i know that have or have had the iPhone. I and my boss are the only two that are even remotely satisfied with the phone. the other 8 have either traded it in or are waiting for the bold. speaking from experience with BB, Treo, and iPhone, BB smokes em all. if you play all day and only need a phone that you can watch tv on, like that's a pleasureable experience, then the "sighphone" is for you. if you want something that you can actually be productive with and doesnt have software freezing issues or year long promises of what's "right around the corner", Go Blackberry. I can't wait to get rid of this i-brick!!!

Release dates:

AT&T - July '08
T-Mobile/Sprint/Verizon - September '08

Video Calls - No(See Cisco if you can afford the handhelds)
Significant improvements are CPU, Memory, Battery Life, Wi-Fi, Network Support, Display, GUI, GPS, Media Player(Audio and Video), and the Browser! RIM respectfully targeted everything that would make the unit more user friendly and efficient. I can't wait! I was going to upgrade to the WorldPhone(from my 8830e) until my provider told me I would only get half the rebate. I intelligently but reluctantly decided to wait for the next unit and now I am glad that I did!

The iPhone is "iCandy", a BlackBerry is an intricate device used by many people to communicate and conduct business at anywhere and at anytime. I tell my girlfriend all the time, "It's not a phone, it's a very sophisticated wireless communications device that has a built in cellular module!".

Lol, Elliot. Your post tickled me I must confess. All in good fun....

"iPhone Killer" is a curious term. Apple sold 2 million iPhones in 2007, yet 1.2 billion, yes with a B, cell phones were sold in 2007. Nokia alone sold 435 million units. So the idea of a iPhone killer is silly.

I currently use a Blackberry for business use as well as personal. The iPhone simply lacks the necessary security my and most, IT departments demand. While the touchscreen maybe sexy to some, it is no substitute for mechanical keys on Blackberry. I can type emails at an alarming speed. Yes, the small keys took some getting used to but they call them crackberries for a reason. I also like GPS in the Bold because I use geodata in my pics for my job. I cannot wait to get the Bold!

I don't mean to come off as an Apple fanboy (ful disclosure: I am!), but did RIM really just make an "iPhone Killer" that is like 30% screen and 70% keuboard on the front?...do they think the metal bezel and black front is the secret of the iPhone?
