Oh great. Only, like, forever and a day until Christmas. That’s when I’m gonna ask everyone I know for this R2D2 ice bucket and Han Solo ice cube tray set. I’d be a damn fool to ask for anything else.

It seems to only be available in the UK at the moment and the fact that Amazon.com’s UK site calls Han Solo “Hans” makes me a little nervous, but you gotta take risks sometimes. For our friends across the pond, £16.99 is all it’ll set you back, although the 2-4 week wait time is enough to drive any man crazy.

  • I’ve just ordered R2D2 and the ice try. I really hope I don’t get a feckin’ Hannah Montana clock…

  • Amazon seems to have taken down the ordering page. Retailers can order it at:

  • Boo. I finally got a hold of someone at Wesco. Here’s exactly what she said to me in two emails:

    Hi Nicole
Unfortunately we never went into production with any.

    Hi Nicole
Don’t think we will end up in production with this item as unfortunately the cost is too high.

So too bad for all of us, huh? In my second email to her I’d asked about maybe just the Han ice trays, but that got the “cost is too high” response. Sad day.
