While everyone else in the free world is geeking over the iPhone 2, I’m giddy for the BlackBerry Bold. Everyone I’ve spoken to that currently uses a BlackBerry is psyched for this device and 90 percent scoff at the Thunder because we all know how much touchscreen phones SUCK (this goes for all of them not just the iPhone). I’m bummed I have to wait till September, though. *sad clown*

  • um that can’t be right… Verizon wouldn’t release a device with WiFi… or a Blackberry less than a year than it’s bee with a GSM carrier…

    I’m skeptical.

  • Peter, in all honesty, the iPhone does not suck. Not at all.

  • Since when are there only 4 cellular carriers in the US?

I live in rural MN, and use Alltel. when do I get one?

Man, I hate when you city folk get all the good gadgets!!

  • Alltel is in the process of being acquired by Verizon for a measly $26B. That will mean Verizon #1, AT$T #2, Sprint/Nextel #3, T-Mobile #4 in customers as the major US providers.

  • What’s alltel? Must be some crappy network…. They’ll prob never have the bold….they still offer kyoceras for chrissake

  • P.s……. I’m hearing rumours at work(tmobile call center) that sprint could be acquired by tmobile within 24 months….of course sprints crappy CDMA Flintstones era voice network is not compatible with Tmo 3G, so word is Tmo will scrap the voice network but acquire the broadband spectrum of Sprints enourmous data network…. Don’t quote me on it tho, you know how these “speculations” can frequently turn out wrong…. Keep an eye on the business section of your newspaper

  • Hmmmm…. I seem to recall hearing something about that as well, Dojo…. Only time will tell :)
