What’s the deal with captchas?
Check out this one from Rapidshare. I need to do what, find the letter with the little cat? I’m sorry, but did we lose a war? Do you know how crushing it is to sit in your apartment trying to download the latest Samim song (it stinks, by the way), squinting at the monitor—OK, that’s a cat, no wait it’s a dog with a cat mask!

i totally agree with you, i was already having a hard time with the colored ones, being colorblind but this is ridiculous the rapidshare captchas were the easy ones!!! wtf!!!
I do not know how you even figured out which letters had cats. I can’t for the life of me see the difference. I generally find captchas annoying, but these are the worst.
I had so much trouble with this last night and it is ridiculous - especially since if you don’t have a premium account and have to enter a capture and get it wrong - you then have to wait another 2 or 3 minutes to try again!

It took me a while to even realize that there were letters without cats in them. I’m not exactly sure how most people are supposed to see the difference, and sort of eye trouble and you can’t download from rapidshare.
Time has a way… Once you stare at it long enough you might be sure of your answer…
Then again if you spend too much time on it… it will expire and the waiting game begins anew.
Wise up people, the new captcha is an effort to drum up more premium members by means of annoyance - all in preparation of the rollout of their all-new version of the site.
