You said, " it’s a great device with a dead-simple interface...for people who love movies and aren’t necessarily all that technically inclined...If it’s marketed as a higher end product for a segment of consumers that just wants to watch movies using a box that works right out of the gate, it could have a bright future."  Most other reviewers have focussed on the number of movies (Vudu has 6000, Apple 1000 maybe) or Vudu's 1080p to Apple's reduced 720p.  These are in Vudu's favor but are secondary to the great easy interface that you mentioned.  Vudu is extremely easy and fun to used, it's super fast, and you can pick dramas only for your shortened list, or movies that were critic rated 4+ or 5+, so that you never,ever,  see a bad movie again.  Those things (mainly with superior software) are where Vudu seems to be leading the market.</description>
