Mini Bluetooth keyboard for cell phones
by Serkan Toto on May 28, 2008

Yesterday Japanese accessory maker I-O Data presented a cute little keyboard which can be connected to cell phones for easy typing.

The CPKB-BT is equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 and is targeted at hardcore-users of mobile blogs and email.

The wireless keyboard is just 151.5×92.1×14mm and weighs only 170g. It is powered by a pair of AA batteries, lasting a total of 2-3 months if the keyboard is used for 1 hour a day.

The Japan-only CPKB-BT is priced at $153 (MSRP) and slated for release on June 11th.

It has Bluetooth 2.0 also and I’d imagine it would pair nicely with my phone. Then again, I could be wrong.

Shaun, the logitech seemed to be smaller in size, as shown on the site, people are typing with their thumbs like they would on a regular smartphone keyboard. I am looking forward to having a compact keyboard like iGo (discontinued!) to type articles and novels on the go…

It is just lovely - black will be better though :P

I honestly will get this plus an iPhone if they pair up - but apparently iPhone’s bluetooth sucks! No update on this pairing?? Oh woe is me!

what is the big deal- When your words are transformed into a written message in your cellphone then maybe we have something to get exited about; but to make people hack away on a fucking keyboard to get a message to someone is really archaic. Why not bring back the clay tablets of antiquity; when you’re done reading them you can use them for paving in your garden.
