These addons save a lot of space on your toolbar for the address box.
http://userstyles.org/styles/10 (stylish required)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3895 (read down, firefox3-compatible version available via forum link)
Your firefox is nice, but mine is nicer ;-)

I also like using Stylish and searching for some of the styles on www.userstyles.org

It's pretty simple once you understand what it does. Basically blocks out css scripts you don't want to load up on a webpages (ex: ads!)

For CrunchGear I've got the whole right bar full of ads gone along with the top ad, and footer (sorry guys!)

Check it out, if you visit a site constantly throughout the day that is always cluttered or you only check out one part of it, block the rest with Stylish. Users have also posted a lot of other styles to change the visuals of your actual browser itself. Mixing these styles with addons, you can have a pretty mean looking and performing browser.

Damn D, still rockin' Winamp? A PC was never my primary machine, but I used to love Macamp Lite. It was this tiny control strip-like player that you could tether to the side of your screen. Oh my god, the OS 8 control strip!

Now you've got me stuck in an infinite loop of nostalgia. So long productivity...

I don't think so. I use it to grab individual pictures, but what you probably want is FlashGot or DownThemAll. I've never really been a gallery-downloader so I'm not the best resource on that, but I think FlashGot is the standard.

This was an extremely helpful post... thanks for that. Fire Gestures looks especially sick. Do you know if it can be used to download a bunch of pictures from a site's image gallery all at once? Been looking for something that can do that for awhile...
