I used to own the 4Gb Corsair and *LOVED IT* until the day it completely crapped out on me about 2-3 months after purchase. I sent it in for replacement, but they discontinued that model and without a receipt, they only offered me a refund of about 1/2 of what I paid. They still make the 16Gb model, but unfortunately, they wouldn't consider upgrading me to it for my troubles or even letting me pay the difference.

I considered buying a 16Gb anyway since the 4Gb was good when it worked, but since I suspect the problem I ran into may have something to do with them discontinuing it, I am leaning away from that line all together.

True, and it is the only one of these drives that has that risk. I'm pretty good about that, amazingly - I'm more likely to leave the whole drive sitting somewhere, and there's equal risk among all the drives for something like that :)

Ooops - you're absolutely right. I switched 'em when I was modifying the post earlier. Thanks for keeping me honest.

I have the 4GB Corsair GT and the transfer speed to and from the drive is quick. The only problem is the issue of losing the cap.

I've got a Sandisk, so i'm pretty happy with those results.
I really do reccomend it to anyone looking for a good USB thumdrive.
It's done nothing but work more efficiently than i could have asked for!
