Video: The alien! (Updated: It’s a hoax)

Is this the alien everyone’s talking about, everyone’s waiting for?

From the Rocky Mountain News’ liveblog:

The film shows a window, reportedly 8 feet off the ground in a rural Nebraska town in 2003.

In the enhanced version of the video, a creature pops up in the window, looks around, and pops back down, again and again.

“It looks like the quintessential Gray, right out of E.T.,” Scheiber [a skeptic] said.

Audience members wanted to know why the creature traveled all those light years just to peep in a window.

I, too, would like to know why. Hoax much?

UPDATE So it turns out that this video is a hoax. The Rocky Mountain News now reports that a Denver man created the video in a couple hours for a grand total of $90. That said, a screengrab of the actual video, from the press conference earlier today, is now making the rounds. This is it:

real

As I said in our chat room, to think that our dumb planet, our dumb blue rock, is the end-all, be-all of Life is patently absurd; we still get excited over multi-touch for Pete’s sake. But I reject and denounce the idea that all aliens have to look like Mars Attacks.

“Audience members wanted to know why the creature traveled all those light years just to peep in a window. ”

What, aliens can’t be voyeurs?

Seriously?? Slow news day, or what?

Shenanigans. The “alien” just happens to look like the stereotype that movie/tv studios have been beating to death for decades?

If we are visited by foreign sentient beings, we will either be pets or food. Our new overlords probably won’t be peeping toms at your window… in Nebraska.

How come it moved like a head on a stick? I think some locals are messing with this “believer”

This is FAR more convincing than the other one. You made a believer out of me!

That was sure anti-climatic.

I’m sorry, but the fact that, there just happens to be a camera facing that window.
And that the alien looks exactly as seen on TV.
The thing is, there’s so many fakes on the net, the moment there’s a real one, we would have cried wolf too many times. and we’ll miss it.
ohwell. the anti-climax video was good anyway.

Well, I do believe we are not alone, however when someone does hoaxes like this one, it ruins that fact that some do believe in aliens from other planets. It isn’t hard to tell it is a hoax.

A few years back when those lights were over Phoenix, I am sure most have heard of this, now that was something else. Phoenix is HUGE, and it covered all of Phoenix. The Air-force even scrambled. Now, that I think was real, and all they did is make fun of it, especially the governor.

Our own advances are naturally debunking the visitors from space theories. Although there may be life outside the planet earth, they’re not coming here to visit. The technology we had in the 60s and 70s as far as imagery went was so far behind what we have now a movie (video) like the Denver alien peeping tom would have been believable. Today there is no excuse for not having captured hours of high quality imagery. Just about everybody carries cell phones that could capture better video.
Look how often we get to see up Britney Spears’ skirt…??????????? maybe that’s not such a good example…

Has anyone noticed that the two windows that are shown one on top of the other are totally different? They are not the same window. So is it a hoax?
