Casio watch can time you, charge itself as you plummet to the earth

The Casio Oceanus OCWM800TBA-1A purports to be the first “atomic solar powered” chronograph which really isn’t saying much. Most atomic watches are world timers dedicated to keeping you on schedule. Adding an analog chronograph, as opposed to a digital one that just shows numbers on a screen, to something like this is akin to adding leather seats to a dump truck — it will still get the original job done and you kind of dump in a new feature for no good reason. Oh well.

It costs about $900 right now — the price on these things falls pretty rapidly, so don’t worry — and I personally live Casio’s titanium watches for their feature set and light weight. Otherwise, this is a pretty standard Casio digital.
