Aspiring DJ? How about a $24K reference turntable to get you started?

acutus

“The best gets better!” “A triumph!” “Who shot JR?” All ways of introducing the Acutus Reference, a $24,000 turntable that’s more for Paul van Dyk than your little two-bit basement operation.

And for $24K, “your records have never sounded this good before.” I should hope so!

Oh, and “you might not make it to work the next day,” you’ll be having so much fun with this thing.

Maybe these guys didn’t get the memo, but you’re only allowed to use hyperbole when describing the iPhone. It’s an unwritten rule in consumer electronics.

What’s a record?

Thanks for the link. This is an absurd turntable indeed. I’d like to know who actually uses it.

Umm, wow? So, $24,000 for NO FREAKING TONEARM and belt drive? If they sell one, it’ll be the greatest marketing coup ever. Haven’t they heard of technics 1200’s?
