CrunchGear unboxes the Samsung Instinct

Unlike our delivery woes with the Flip Mino, the Samsung Instinct for Sprint arrived at the NYC CrunchGear office this morning as expected. I’ve been impressed with this phone from the first time I saw it under NDA many months ago. The packaging is nice, but I think all packaging is a waste of money and resources. The Instinct comes with a gaggle of accessories that include: the device, headset, USB cable, case, Sandisk 2GB microSD, an extra battery, travel charger, separate USB charger, stylus, and a microSD to SD adapter. We’ll be putting the Instinct through the normal CG paces in the coming days and we’ll have a full review shortly. In the meantime enjoy the photos. You’ll have to excuse the shoddy composition, but you know how quickly we need to get these things up to beat the other guys.

This phone from Samsung is making me salivate. :)
I have used samsung phones for the last 9 years, i had the i300, i500 and currently the Samsung 830i/w all from sprint. My burning questions are: 1: with only 600 contacts allowed to be saved in the address book, how can i with 1200 contacts move from the 830 to the instinct, and secondly,
Will the instict syc up with a Mac or a PC easily? I currently us Missing Link by Mark/space.com to sync the 830 with my mac.

Just got the instinct this evening. It does NOT Sync with MAC, but it will sync with PC easily. According to the Sprint tech my Treo 650 had over 700 contacts and it appears like they got them all transferred.
So far so good, I might recommend adjusting the touch sensitivity my husband had issues with scrolling and stopping.
