Love this site! Have already downloaded and used and I have only had my GPS for a week. Thinking about making a POI group of my own.

I'm glad I stumbled onto the POIfriend.com site.

I work as a designated driver in Durham Region Ontario so the assortment of top notch POI groups make finding patrons at a variety of establishments at night easy by this reliable data (including the contact phone numbers too
) in my GPS.

There is a good mechanism in place for getting data added or modified for your own poi groups and also those managed by other users, the more you use the site the more you'll see this come into play. I've been suggesting changes to other peoples data in my area with reasonable quick updates. (sometimes using coordinates by my GPS from visiting a POI or from viewing on Google Earth images). This is the strength of the site as people can update data for fellow GPS enthusiests.

The site maintainers have been open for suggestions for improvements as well to make the site more usable and have the same data available for a wider variety of GPS brands.

Companies that creating inventive social networks = good
Companies using social networks inventively = spam
College students trying to get by = lowly scum
