ur doin it wrong

My MBP remembers the respective volume settings for speakers and headphones. A small detail that makes me love this thing more. Not sure if @David Pitkin’s instructions will work, but try them.

The mac remembers the volume setting for the headphones so each time they are at 100%.

What to do: plug in your headphones, turn the volume to 50% and then unplug the headphones.

Now change the internal speaker volume to say 30% and then plug in your headphones, it should jump back to the 50% level you set for that device.

Doesn’t happen to me. Actually my MBP seems to remember the last volume setting for when a jack is unplugged or plugged in.
