A bunch of anorexics thinks Jobs is too fat. Now people think he’s too skinny. Where will it all end?

Apple did not mislead the public with Jobs’ bout with pancreatic cancer. If they had announced it officially long before his treatment, it would have caused a stock panic that would have damaged the company for no good reason. No sane person would prosecute Apple now, considering their stock performance since that event. Jobs could decide to retire tomorrow. Would people sue him for not announcing it years ahead like Bill Gates did, and the resulting stock slide?

In short, no.

I doubt anything is wrong. But the fact Apple didn’t disclose to the public Jobs’ illness a few years ago until after being successfully treated is probably what’s spurring today’s speculation. Based on their track record, he may be undergoing treatment now.

Hope that’s not the case, and doubt it actually is. Sometimes an ink blot is just an ink blot. That being said, if it did eventually come to light Apple misled the public, that might actually have some legal repercussions given his direct association with Apple prosperity/stockholder prosperity. Another reason he’s fine right now – I’m sure Apple’s lawyers took this into account.
