What number Xbox 360 are you on? I’m on number two—thanks red ring of death!—but apparently Microsoft thinks I’m cool with that.
In an interview, the head of Microsoft’s entertainment division said Microsoft’s data shows people still show a brand loyalty to the Xbox 360 despite being on their second or third console.
It speaks to the fact that they love their games and Xbox Live. Does it frustrate them? Yes. On the other hand, they know we’re taking care of them. People have a certain amount of respect for that
It’s hardly respect, chief, when you do your duty; it’s what’s expected of you.
If it had happened on a product that had less baseline customer satisfaction, it would have had a bigger impact. We really haven’t seen that.
O! I wonder, how many of you will be foolish enough to buy a launch day Microsoft console ever again? Hopefully by then I’d have fully tired of gaming, but you’d have to be silly to subject yourself to that type of gamble.

“O! I wonder, how many of you will be foolish enough to buy a launch day Microsoft console ever again?”
Oh how quickly we forget.
Remember the whole issue with the first few versions of the PS1 being defective? The laser’s lens assembly would fall apart and need to be readjusted or repaired.
Then again with the first few versions of the PS2? The dreaded “Disk Read Error” message that Sony got sued over?
Yet the PS3 still sold out at launch.
Its true that us fans are sad when our 360s break. But understand that we are sad at the thought of being without our 360s… We forgive Microsoft and watch the front door for our 360s to return. The army of haters seem much more interested in our suffering than we are. Just call 1 800 4my xbox and your problem will be fixed in less than 7 days for free.
Xbox 360 has the worst customer service and Xbox all model are still unreliable Microsoft is full of shit. Every Xbox 360 customer who got the Red Light of Death must hate Microsoft for making a crappy console. Lucky my console hasn’t die yet hope fully it won’t.
I’m not so certain about purchasing a new console from MS. Bought a launch day unit and 5 consoles later I finally have one that freezes but hasn’t broke yet (granted freezing could be due to a number of factors). On the original Xbox I was a Live Beta Tester, helped them build the Live network despite going through 3 Xbox’s. Then after going through the 360 units (ONE BREAKING ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE HALO 3 BETA!!) I am very skeptical of purchasing a new 360. My last one bit the dust 1 week before the 3yr warranty extension and MS tried to make me pay $150 bucks to fix it, even though after 5 units I have actually only played the thing a total of 3 months. l
MS I would appreciate any compensation from you cheap bast**** any time now!

Probably every manufacturer does this but….. When I first called MS they tried to charge me $150 to fix the unit. After arguing, they lowered the cost to $125. After getting extremely angry they lowered the price again to $75 to fix the unit. The same units that current news has confirmed is MS’s fault in the first place! Granted they have finally extended the warranty, but this is the crap they are putting their customers through.
“yeah sure it’s our fault for selling you a $400 half a$$ed system but let’s see how much (through a bargaining process, how professional) we can get you to cover the cost of our mistake!”
What a bunch of chumps!
I have two xbox 360s
1. Bought on launch day - never had a problem
2. Elite - Red ring of death.
So me thinks this problem has not yet gone away.
I think microsoft should zhut their doors to gaming and open a whore house. Atleast when you walk in, you know your getting fuc%ed
Microsoft really does have some severe quality control / design control problems with their consoles.
Link goes to example. (http://pictures.xbox-scene.com/xbox360/melted360/melty-xbox-3_s300.jpg)
I bought a 360 and i got the red ring now i am on my second and i am getting the error message again. I am seriously thinking about trying to file a suit on this. I have spent over 600 dollars and they just keep fucking up maybe someone needs to go get this money out of there ass. Beat down the company that has taken my hard earned cash and shot it down the drain
Way to reply to a year old topic.
And if you did your homework, you would know that you could have gotten those problems fixed for free.
