A friendly tipster inside AT&T just told us that it will offer family plans for the iPhone 3G. Plans start at $39.99 per month for voice—the number of minutes unclear at this point—with additional lines available for $9.99 per iPhone. Not a bad deal, and a fine way to lock families, from dad all the way down to junior, to AT&T for at least two years.

That would be consistent with everything we’ve been hearing. Add the $30 data in for each phone and it is more than the current iPhone plans.

Yes Jessica you can. You’re really not saving anything being on a family “iphone” plan, it’s the same as a regular family plan. We have 2 reg phones and will be adding 2 iphones on the 11th.
