Well, at least we can all rest assured that no one's ever going to write an article on the merit of anything John Biggs ever produced.

All musicians are influenced by those preceding them. Since when is that something to criticize?

Yeah, you're right. We're elitist. The story was that he didn't want to use iTunes because he equates them with old record companies. This shows either lack of understanding on KR's part ("Apple will sell my music and give me a cut! That's outrageous!") or a plan by Kid Rock to start KRTunes and sell his music online for $5 a song, thereby cutting out the middleman. I'm happy Mr. Rock supports illegal downloading but iTunes is probably the only game in town that would offer him the money/exposure he needs in this time of change. Ultimately he's just throwing a fit out of general principle and doesn't make much sense in the interview. I'm sure Otis Redding would want to be on iTunes.

And it is true that frat boys masturbate furtively. I made some calls.

Wow, what poor reporting. First, as mentioned on the bbcnews website (you know, where they actually show what he said) Kid Rock said that he doesn't have a problem with people stealing his music. This brings up my second point. You mention that Mr Rock doesn't realize that he made his success off of people stealing his records. How is not putting his music on iTunes equates to being against stealing? Last time I checked iTunes cost money. Bias much crunchgear?

From http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7459796.stm-

"Asked whether he was worried about illegal downloading, he replied: "I don't agree with it. I think we should level the playing field. I don't mind people stealing my music, that's fine. But I think they should steal everything."

Third, insulting Kid Rock fans (though I am not one of them) just shows a nasty elitist atittude.
