Yum. Look at this deliciously entertaining wedding cake, will you? It’s like Mario Kart meets Super Mario Galaxy meets whichever game features the Princess’ palace. Smart of them to move into her place, too, since Mario lives in a garden level apartment in Brooklyn (as you’ll remember from the Super Mario Brothers Super Show). Peach’s place is probably a lot nicer, even though it’s been decorated by a girl! Ooh, burn!
Back to reality, the cake was designed by Let Them Eat Cake in California and no matter what it cost, I’m of the opinion that it was totally worth it. More photos here.

I’m not 100% sure but I think the Mario Game on the 64 where you start in castle and jump through pictures is the game you were looking for that features the palace. I never played it but I do remember watching someone play it on an emulator once a long time ago, not even sure what it’s called though I’d assume Mario 64 is close.
