T-Mo releases Nokia 6301 and Samsung SGH-t339 Hotspot@Home phones
by John Biggs on June 23, 2008

Well isn’t this the day for pop announcements? T-Mobile has just released the Nokia 6301, above, and the Samsung SGH-t339. Both have Wi-Fi and allow you to make calls over T-Mo’s Hotspot@Home service using UMA. The Samsung has Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and music player. The Nokia is a bit sexier with 2-megapixel camera. Both are nothing to call my analyst about, so let’s not wake her.

T-Mobile didn’t include images with their release so instead of the SGH-t339 let’s look at a picture of Dame Edna.

T-Mobile USA Introduces Nokia 6301 and Samsung SGH-t339
Stylish New Phones Support Unlimited Calling Over Wi-Fi With T-Mobile HotSpot @Home Service

BELLEVUE, Wash. – June 23, 2008 – T-Mobile USA, Inc., today announced the availability of the Nokia 6301 and Samsung SGH-t339, the newest additions to the growing lineup of phones that support T-Mobile® HotSpot @HomeSM service, which provides unlimited, nationwide calling over any accessible Wi-Fi connection in addition to great in-home coverage.*

The Nokia 6301 and Samsung t339 bring two stylish phone options to the expanding T-Mobile HotSpot @Home family. The groundbreaking wireless service was first introduced a year ago with two handset options. Now T-Mobile customers can choose from eight HotSpot-enabled phones, including three smartphones and a variety of Nokia and Samsung phones.

With a stunning red finish and a thin flip form factor, the Samsung t339 provides the right balance of style and technology. This Wi-Fi-enabled phone is outfitted with stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture, a music player and instant messaging capability.

The Nokia 6301 provides the style of a home phone with the look of a mobile. The sleek, stainless steel bar phone comes with a standup charger so customers can conveniently dock their phone, similar to the design of a home cordless phone. The Nokia 6301 is also equipped with a robust feature set, including a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture, stereo Bluetooth and a music player.

“Since launching T-Mobile HotSpot @Home nearly a year ago, T-Mobile has remained committed to building our portfolio of handsets to support this innovative wireless service,” said Sajal Sahay, director of product marketing, T-Mobile USA. “These new phones are stylish offerings for our customers who want to take advantage of unlimited nationwide calling and great wireless coverage — all for an affordable price.”
