So what? Renan
They can probably use the same procedure to blue-rays. That means by a factor of 9!! 50GB * 9 --> YEAH!!!
Ok, you need a new dvd player or so, but I would buy it.

The factor of nine would appear to be an arbitrary number, since the alignment of pit is an analogue "quantity." The limit on the capacity is, ultimately, going to be determined by the construction of the read head. So the incremental cost between generations of this technology is going to be a lot lower than forever trying to reduce the wavelength of light used.

Renan if you think about it. This could give BLU-RAY four layer disk more then it could handle now. But the technogey have to be addopted to the blue doil and not the red one.

If it took more than 5 minutes to think of this idea, then it was a waste of time! Let alone taking the time to research this useless developement! How much did they spend researching this useless disc? Whatever it is, such a waste of money and time!!! IMHO!

Since it isn't compatible with the dvd players allready on the market it makes no sense using it, the Blu Ray has better capacity and can have multi layers to achieve 200gb.

And to insert this media on the market is going to be hell hard since blu ray has a big market share on next gen discs.
