Hi Everyone,

While there are a lot of services out there that buy used cell phones, they barely give you anything for your valuable electronics.

Checkout CashMyMobile.com where you actually submit the asking price for your device for them to review and then respond with an acception or a counteroffer.

Free UPS shipping as well!

This is a great service! It's always great to see a company giving back to the community and helping the environment. Credo Mobile is also something to check into. They are a cell phone service provider who donates 1% of your monthly charges to progressive nonprofit groups. They'll even pay your termination fee at your current cell phone provider to get you to switch over.

Hi - Thos from Second Rotation here.
We were excited to read this post. It's great to see the light shine on this growing industry.

Right now a mere 12% of electronic waste actually gets recycled and we're proud to be a part of making it easy and rewarding for folks to recycle responsibly.

Second Rotation (http://www.secondrotation.com/) is a one-stop shop. It’s the fast, safe, practical way for people to recycle and get cash for all of their used consumer electronics – not just cell phones.

One point though -- we're actually offering more for an 8GB iPhone. Right now Second Rotation is offering $200 for a phone in 'excellent' condition (up to $235 for a 16GB and $165 for a 4GB.)

I doubt China wants these. They already have fabulously more interesting knock-offs for sale at reasonable prices. Maybe ex-pats in China who don't want to pay import prices and don't know enough Chinese to wade through the black market will want them.

Ingenius! They take your old iPhone, pay you $190, and then sell it to China (which is not getting the new one, although Japan is) for $300! (at least that's my theory anyways).

Better idea? Sell your old iPhone to a T-Mobile customer (who will be unable to get the new 3G phone in the US) and use the money to buy a new phone. Sounds like a plan if you ask me!
