Azeroth in World of Warcraft is the size of Newcastle, planet is flat
by Nicholas Deleon on July 2, 2008

Another example of the Internet’s vital role in our society.

A very fine gentleman of high moral standing has concluded that Azeroth, the world in World of Warcraft, has an area of 113 square kilometers, or about the size of English city Newcastle, home of Joey Barton. That, and the planet (or planetoid; it’s quite small, you see) has a density that’s 500 times greater than lead.

And the final startling discovery, that Azeroth, by all indications, is flat. The universal sunrise and sunset times, and the lack of celestial movement (stars don’t move in the sky) suggest a flatness.

Read the whole, rather long post, and be as amazed as I am right now.
