Word on the street is that Microsoft will launch a re-designed Xbox 360 Dashboard alongside the long-rumored [Spring?] Dashboard update. That Microsoft is thinking about of integrating that motion controller that was mentioned a few weeks ago is both unexpected and annoying.

One of the reasons I prefer the Xbox 360 to the Wii when I play games is the “normal” interface. I like having a classic controller with a bunch of buttons; I don’t need to be waving my arm around all willy nilly just to navigate a menu.

But, she’s just a rumor for now, so no sense in ranting about something that might not even happen.

  • Right on Deleon. I think Sony got the idea right (although implementation has been less than stellar to date) with the Sixaxis. There are times when motion sensing seems cool, but I don’t want to do it all the time. Or even half the time.

Besides, playing baseball and bowling in real life is more fun anyways.

  • LOL..

Yeah, you’re waving your arms all willy nilly when navigating the Wii menu. Moron.

  • “Besides, playing baseball and bowling in real life is more fun anyways.”

Just like how playing baseball and bowling in real life is more fun than playing videogame versions of them on PS3 and 360?

Talk about some narrowminded little tool sheds.

    • Yeah, if you actually do play video game versions on 360 or PS3. I don’t, maybe others do. But every time someone wants to show me the Wii, its Wii Sports they break out to demo how fun the system is, before breaking out Smash Brothers. And when SB does come out…everyone switches to a normal controller.

I’m not saying the Wii sucks. I applaud Nintendo for changing things up. I just don’t think using those controllers is fun.
