You thought this was going to be about something else, right?

Rumor has it that T-Mobile will launch 3G service – and 3G phones – on October 1st. They will be bringing the Sony Ericisson Bella as their first device and should be adding 3G to other phones over the year. Again, this is kind of unfounded and T-Mo hasn’t mentioned anything to CG about this but the carrier clearly needs to hitch its wagon to the 3G star if its going to beat just about every other carrier in the known universe.

  • Does this mean you can use the new iPhone 3G with a T-mobile sim card without having to unlock the phone itself? Or will you still have to unlock it until some magical way T-mobile will also sell the iPhone along with AT&T?
    Thanks,

    • No….AT&T has exclusive rights to the iphone, you need to hack the phone. Not that hard to do anymore…..just download the software and make sure you don’t update the device through itunes
