Bungie announcing something at E3 - please let it be more Marathon

It’s far more likely it’s just a playable build of Halo Wars or something, but I wish they’d make a return to the labyrinthine hallways and insane AIs of my favorite FPS of yore, Marathon. The reason we are all a-twitter is this little snippet from the hosts when ending Bungie’s latest podcast:
Brian: Isn’t there something going on on July 14th or something like that?
Luke: Yeah, around then.
Brian: Somehow that’s sticking in my head for some reason. Guess we’ll have to see.
Luke: Yep, we’ll just have to be patient. Who could say?
Maybe they’re just saying they’re excited about E3. Well, we will be there so you’ll find out here if you tune in this coming Monday and just keep hitting refresh.

As exciting as it would be to see a playable demo of Halo Wars, Bungie isn’t developing it. It’s being developed by Ensemble Studios. That said, Bungie has been cooperating with Ensemble Studios, they have even allowed them in the secret Halo vault.

Good call, I forgot about that. We’ll probably still see Halo Wars at E3, but this just makes it more likely that we’re going to see some Marathon… or pathways into darkness omg
