MX20 has some better filter, motion detection ... but there is a problem, even if you shoot in wide screen, the recordin is still in 5:4 aspect ratio, so when watching on tv, or from a dvd player, you need to set the aspect ratio manually to 16:9 in order to stretch the video (otw the image is distorted) - or you use a diferent software to convert it to wide screen aspect ratio before writing it on dvd. (i don't know why samsung did this stupidity 5:4 recording ...)

actualy, i bought this camera and mine works with vista perfectly. Also, the software for it is terrible and the so called ''youtube friendly'' camcorder doesn't fill up the 16:9 aspect ratio and i've tried alot of things to help but have failed at everything. It isn't compatable with windows movie maker.

Err - NTSC/PAL makes no difference to multi-platform content providers. They use the Flash-player, which can play either.

... There's no European-only YouTube Uploader. xD

I'm considering getting this here in Thailand - they have them for about same price. But...

There is a PAL sticker on this one - and as far as I know, YouTube uses NTSC -yes? Will PAL videos work with YouTube?

It has the Youtube compatible stickers all over it - but maybe that's like European PAL Youtube compatibility or something crazy. I'm afraid to purchase yet - any one know?

Thanks in advance!

So is this thing REALLY not compatable with Windows Vista?
I was surfing BestBuy's website and it said,
"Vista Compatible......No."

Maybe it's just referring to the software that comes with it?
(Which I don't really care to use anyway).

It seems that MX20 is affordable compared to the price of SC-HMX20C, a full HD digital camcorder.
The color looks good on MX20.

MX20 looks very similar to MX10.
MX20's video fomat is H.264 (good thing~)
It is also easy interface and good swivel hand-grip.
I think it's suitable for making homevideo easily.
plus, the price tag is affordable, too.
