Video Review: IOGEAR USB Net ShareStation

Looking to share USB devices across your home network? Got $80? Then pick up the IOGEAR USB Net ShareStation. The product’s website says, “Users may not achieve optimum audio/video streaming performance when connecting to the USB Net ShareStation through a wireless Ethernet router,” but I loaded up a 1080p WMV file and streamed it via wireless just fine. You can hook up external drives, a 4-port USB hub, a webcam, a printer, or just about any other USB device.

Why must I click on the crotch to play the video?

Yeah, the crotch clicking is disturbing. But what is that shoe on the desk?

It’s even creeping me out now, and it’s my crotch. I’m gonna manually put a new thumbnail up there. If you’re just getting here, Blip.TV takes a random frame from the video to use as the video’s thumbnail and it grabbed a shot of my loins as I was doing a mini-review of my plaid shorts.
That shoe on my desk is a telephone. Ha!

I wounder if I can use this with a Drobo instead of purchasing the $200 DroboShare (http://www.drobostore.com/storefront/part/technotes.do?skuNo=2015437)
p.s. this can be found on eBay for as little as $50 shipped
