I had been clicking back and forth for an hour when I read your suggestion to have someone text message me. I used my wife's iPhone to do the text message, and the next time I clicked from the iTunes store to my phone in iTunes, the activation started right up. I have been doing the "switch back and forth" nonsense for 3 hours. When I did what I just suggested, it almost immediately began the activation process. Might be coincidence, and even if not, why not fill up AT&T's voicemail and txt msg servers as a bit of nonviolent punishment for causing us this pain?
